On Tuesday July 14, 2020, Sarvar Bakhti, the ECI president, met with Seyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Iranian Minister of Culture for Art Affairs, and Mahdi Afzali, director of Roudaki Foundation.
According to ECO Cultural Institute, during the meeting held between Sarvar Bakhti and Seyed Mohammad Mojtaba Hosseini, the two parts underlined the necessity for developing a draft MoU covering all areas of joint cooperation.
In another meeting held between the ECI president and Mahdi Afzali, the director of the Roudaki Foundation, the two sides agreed upon joint collaborations for arranging events to preserve Persian language such as the virtual performance of ECO member states' symphony, holding a puppet theater to promote the history, culture and literature of the ECO region as well as organizing cultural weeks.
Elsewhere at this meeting, the ECI president also highlighted that while assisting in the promotion, training and development of the ancient Persian language, the ECO Cultural Institute respects other languages of the ECO region as well.
The meetings concluded with the visit of the ECI president and his accompanying delegation to Vahdat Hall complex, the Puppet Theater Museum and the behind-the-scenes section of puppet theaters.
