ECO Cultural Institute in cooperation with Afarineh Gallery will host an exhibition of traditional Kilim and Gabbeh along with artworks of some modern artists.
The exhibition will showcase 60 pieces of Kilim and Gabbe in addition to modern artworks of a number of artists such as Ebrahim Yaghmaei, Mohtasham Mahdavi, and Yousef Hosseini. Also a collection of Kilim and Gabbe from Turkey, Afghanistan and Tajikistan will be displayed in the slideshows on the sidelines of the exhibition.
It is worth noting that Turaj Jooleh, an author and researcher on carpet and Pooya Arianpour, a contemporary painter, will review similarities between designs in Glim And Gabbeh and visual artworks of contemporary painters.
The exhibition will be kicked off on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at ECI Headquarters and will run until January 16.
