The book, compiled by Asliddin Qamarzoda under supervision of Mohammad Hasan Abedini, and has been published in Persian and Russian by the ECO Cultural Institute.
Samarkand was one of the ancient cities of Central Asia and now is the capital of Samarkand Province in Uzbekistan. Poets, in different periods of history, have composed many poems on Samarkand. The book is a collection of classic and contemporary Persian poets on Samarkand including a brief biography of the poets.
