ECI to Hold an Exhibition on Persian Traditional Hand-Woven Textile
ECI gallery will host the opening ceremony of an exhibition of Iranian traditional hand-woven textiles organized by ECO Cultural Institute in cooperation with Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization and the International Institute of "Jam-e Miras-e Jahan".

In order to recognize the high status of the art of , an exhibition of Iran's traditional hand-woven textile will be opened in ECI gallery. The event features a variety of traditional fabrics made from silk, brocade, velvet, cloak, and others with natural dyes belonging to different periods of Iran's history.

It is worth mentioning that SIDAAR is a sub-brand of the International Institute of Jam-e Miras-e Jahan for hand-woven fabrics. As a scientific and administrative center with an aim to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the expertise, along with planning, training, researching, monitoring and publicizing, the institute has sought to identify the existing opportunities and cultural-economic potentials to provide services to ensure high-quality and standard handmade products.

The exhibition of "SIDAAR, Persian Hand-Woven Textile" will be opened on Wednesday, January 20th 2016 at 15:00 in ECI gallery and will run until January 24th 2016. The exhibition will be open to the public from January 21st from 10:00 to 18:00.

A free workshop on tapestry weaving for children and adults will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition by Persian and English instructors on Thursday January 21st 2016 from 14:00 to 17:00.
