The Tajik people are peaceful and altruistic.
The program of Tajikistan Night was held with the presence of diplomats and cultural figures at ECO Cultural Institute.

According to ECI Public Relations, Tajikistan Night was held in cooperation with ECO Cultural Institute, Bukhara Magazine, and Shirazeh Research and Publication on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

The program began with the opening speech by Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, president of ECO Cultural Institute, saying: "The Tajik people are a peaceful and altruistic nation. It can be inferred from the content of the poems of Tajik poets such as Rustam Vahab, Mirzo Tursunzoda, Loiq Sher-Ali, and Gulrukhsor that they seek to realize their aspirations in solidarity and friendship with other nations as the inheritors of the ancient culture and civilization of this geographic expansion".

ECI president added: "The cultural interactions that I look upon as public diplomacy in the ECO region can be viewed as a platform to achieve sustainable political and economic convergences in the region. We at ECI, emphasize the need for cooperation and collective wisdom of all ECO countries and, with regard to existing capacities, we will support comprehensive plans defined in public and cultural diplomacy."

During the event, the book Tajikistan, Parey-e Tan-e Iran written by Bahram Amir Ahmadian was unveiled with the presence of Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, Ali Ashraf Mojtahed Shabestari, Hediyeh Sharifi, Masoud Erfanian, Shah Mansour Shah Mirzo, and Ali Dehbashi.

At the end of the event, the music band Dang Dang Kuban performed pieces of traditional music.
