On January 30, 2019, the ECO Diplomatic Conference Hall hosted the meeting on the modification of UN structure.
According to ECI news, at the two-hour session attended by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, ECI President, Ms. Ugochi Daniels, UN Resident Coordinator in Iran and tens of ambassadors, diplomatic officials and heads of international organization, the video message of the UN Secretary General was screened followed by exchanges of ideas by the participants on the new plan of the UN structural reform.
It is worth mentioning that the new UN structural reform entails a 10-article plan proposed by the UN Secretary General and submitted to the UN General Assembly to minimize the administrative structure of the organization to contribute to the efficiency of the UN activities, better resolution of international conflicts and promote peace and security.
