Hosted by UN and attended by the members of the Platform's High Council, the platform was held on July 9, 2018, at the headquarters of the United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA) in Istanbul, Turkey.
At this meeting, the recent book written by Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Mazaheri, titled "Economic Cooperation Organization and Cultural Security of the Member States", published with the introduction of the United Nations in English language, was launched by Dr. Mehmet Dohman, UCLG-MEWA Secretary-General, in the presence of the author and other guests.
Concluding the meeting, the United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA) appreciated the effective role of ECI and its President, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, as well as Mr. Naser Mohammadi, Executive Secretary of the Platform, for convening the first meeting.
