Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Emad, head of the Library, Museum and Document Center of Iran Parliament, visited ECI booth at the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair on Tuesday April 30, 2019.
According to ECI public relations, Dr. Moshiri, the adviser to the head of this international institution, received the head of the parliament library and pointed out to the establishment of ECO fraction at the Islamic Consultative Assembly enjoying the support of 175 representatives, that occurred during the tenure of Dr. Mazaheri, and stated: "With the support of Dr. Larijani, the parliament speaker, there are good opportunities for cooperation between the Parliament Library of and ECI.
Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Emad also appreciated the warm hospitality rendered by ECI officials at the booth and expressed his willingness for bilateral cooperation between the ECI and Parliament libraries and said: "In order to support the common cultural heritage of the ECO region, we propose the publication of a bibliography of the luminaries of the ECO region which I hope will be quickly realized with the support of the parliament speaker and the ECI president."
Ms. Zahra Aslani, in charge of the ECO diplomatic library and the booth of this international institution at the Tehran Book Fair, also referred to the initiative of Dr. Mazaheri in proclaiming the year 2018 as the year of Book and Reading in the ECO region, at the 4th Meeting of ECO Heads of National Libraries. She further presented works published by the ECO Cultural Institute during the last year.
The head of the Library, Museum and Document Center of Iran Parliament also wrote a note at ECI stand at the Tehran International Book Fair saying: "ECI's activities in the areas of culture, publication and communications are admirable and promises a brighter future".
