Karachi to Host 'Adab Festival' in Literature
The second edition of Adab Festival will be held January 31 to February 3, 2020 at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.

This was announced by Ameena Saiyid, Oxford University Press Managing Director and founder of the event, ECI public relations quoted The News as saying.
"We celebrate literature in diverse Pakistani languages, launch books, feature talks, interviews, discussions, mushairah / poetry sessions, a book fair, music, dance, theatre, comedy/satire, and film. We feature over a hundred Pakistani and international authors, and an audience of around 200,000 from the widest cross-section of society", said Ameena Saiyid.
Adab Fest director and Kathak dance artist Shayma Saiyid said a qawwali performance by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad ensemble, dance performance and comedy will be part of the festival as the concept of ‘Adab' is vast and inclusive of such arts. The event also includes a Mushairah with celebrated poet Iftikhar Arif in the chair.
