Dedicated to the issue of registration of Turkmen art of carpet weaving in UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Turkmenistan Museum of Fine Arts hosted the conference titled 'Art of Carpet Weaving, Turkmen's National Accomplishment' kicked off in Ashgabat.
The event was held by the Center for National Intangible Heritage at the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. At the conference, a number of scholars and experts in the field delivered speeches and the winners were awarded symbolic certificates ' Çeper döredijiligiň halk ussasy'.
Additionally, the conference participants discussed the results of Turkmenistan's national program titled «Asyrlara ýörelge, nessillere görelde - 2019«. At the sidelines of the event, an exhibition of applied handicrafts was mounted.
