Int'l Puppet Festival Wraps up in Karachi
The 29th edition of International Puppet Festival was held by Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop in Ibne Qasim Garden, Karachi.

According to ECI public relations quoting The Nation, the participants of the Festival's inaugural were welcomed with a parade of all kinds of larger than life characters. Besides Pakistani puppet theater groups, foreign puppet theater groups from United Kingdom and Germany also participated at the event.
Some of the activities organized at the event and mainly focusing on children included Magic Show, Story Telling Session, Art Camp, Puppet Making Workshop, Face Painting and many interactive games. In addition, the attendees also witnessed outdoor acts; Puppet Mascot Parade and Folk Music Concert. The festival not only hosted puppet shows but stalls selling handicrafts, tiny plants, books, and jewelry along with the foods.
'The event purely aimed to convey moral messages to educate children and adults simultaneously, and more, it was a family festival', said Yasmina Peerzada, the festival's director.
