On the Demise of Master Joreh Beyk Nazri

With deepest sorrow, ECI received the sad news of the demise of Master Joreh Beyk Nazri, the renowned scholar and vocalist of the Republic of Tajikistan at the age of 74, which is a great loss to the cultural community. 

For over 40 years, Master Joreh Beyk Nazri held the position of the director of handwritten heritage section at the oriental studies department, Tajikistan's Academy of Sciences. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on the topic of 'Shiraz School and the story of Leyli and Majnoon' and Iranians know him for his famous piece 'letter writing in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh' which was published in Tehran.
