Int'l Migration Film Festival in Istanbul
Int'l Migration Film Festival concluded and the movie 'For Sama' directed by Waad al-Kateab and Edward Watts won the Best Full-Length Film award of the Festival.

According to ECI public relations quoting Anadlou Agency, the awarding ceremony of the Int'l Migration Film Festival was held in Istanbul during a ceremony with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, participating through video-conference.
The Festival, held with the support of the President's office as well as the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, "For Sama" directed by Waad al-Kateab and Edward Watts won the Best Feature Film award.
Nuri Bilge Ceylan, the celebrated Turkish filmmaker, who chaired the 7-member jury of the Festival in Feature Films Section of this year's festival, talked about this film saying: " The Best Film Award of the International Migration Film Festival went to a documentary film. This film changes our perceptions of the developments going on in Syria".
The Most Inspiring Script award was given to 'Just Like My Son' by Italian director Costanza Quatriglio and 'Children of the Shore' by Amelia Nanni as the winner of UNICEF International Short Film.
The Same Boat Best Film award went to the movie 'There' directed by Zeynep Koprulu's Orada from Turkey.
Moreover, 'Oskar & Lilli' by Arash Riahi, the Iranian director and scriptwriter, was given the honorable mention award. The movie deals with the story of Chechen refugee children Oskar and Lilli who have been living in Austria for six years, and are about to be deported with their mother.
The Best Film won €15,000 while Best Short Film and Best Inspirational Script were awarded €5,000 each.
The Same Boat competition's selection was awarded €1,000.
