Online Poetry Session of Afghanistan-Tajikistan Poets
The first online poetry session between Afghan and Tajik poets was organized by Afghanistan Ministry of Information and Culture on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Present at the online session were poets from Nangarhar, Bamyan, Kandahar, Kabul, Balkh, Panjshir, Badakhshan, Kunduz and four poets from Tajikistan.
Head of Information and Culture of Department of Kunduz Province, Abdul Shakur Ghadrdan, stated that the literary program has been organized to strengthen cultural relations and promote good neighborliness as well as ancient cultural and historical commonalities between the two countries of Afghanistan and Tajikistan. "The online program will be held among Afghan and Tajik poets once a month", Ghadrdan added.
Next, Mahboubeh Babakarkhil, Head of People's Culture Department of the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan, welcomed the participating poets and talked about the long-standing cultural and historical relations of the two countries. She then continued her remarks saying that launching such programs has left a great impact on enhancing and further strengthening the mutual cultural relations between the two countries.
Further at the session, Tajik poet Ali Mohammad Moradi and poetess Rahim Jan, spoke briefly praising the measure taken for organizing the program and emphasized on its continuation. They further read their poems.
