The second of the series of 'Meeting with Active Publishers of the ECO Region' was held virtually on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at ECI diplomatic conference hall to introduce some of the books published by 'Kheradgan' publications and brief the audience on its activities.
According to ECO Cultural Institute, ECI held the second of the series of the meetings titled 'Meeting with Active Publishers of the ECO Region' to brief the audience on the activities of Kheradgan publications and launch six of its latest publications. Present at the meeting were intellectuals from different fields of arts, culture, literature and science and also members of diplomatic missions of Pakistan and Tajikistan, Head of International Relations department of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Vice-President of Iran-Tajikistan Friendship Association, a member of Dehkhoda Dictionary authors board, director-in-charge of Kheradgan publications and a number of cultural and academic figures.
The meeting was inaugurated the message of Sarvar Bakhti, ECI president, which was presented to the audience by Shoh Mansoor Shohmirza, expert of Tajikistan Desk at ECI. Then the session continued with speeches delivered by Dr. Hajir Tehrani, the Vice-President of the Iran-Tajikistan Friendship Association and Hassan Gharibi, the head of the International Relations department of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature.
Then, Shoh Mansoor Shohmirzo, author and expert of Tajikistan Desk at ECI, briefed the audience on 'The Book of Words' by Abai Qunanbaev and 'Gray Wolf' by Mukhtar Auezov, both pioneer Kazakh literary figures, that have been translated from Russian to Persian by Dr. Safar Abdollah, the permanent member of Academy of Persian Language and Literature. He further deliberated upon the book 'Seyhoun's Blue Dream' written by Dr. Soraya Hassan Soltan, Tajik poetess and journalist, in terms of subject matter and language as well as stylistic and literary features.
In another part of the live event streamed through ECI Instagram page, Soheila Yousefi, director-in-charge of 'Kheradgan' publications appreciated ECI for hosting the event and went on briefing the spectators on different aspects of objectives and activities of Kheradgan publications.
Finally, Dr. Majid Asadi, the author of the book 'Winner', comprehensively talked about the features of his book.
Video clips of speeches by Dr. Mohammad Jafar Yahaghi, Dr. Safar Abdollah, Shahzadeh Samarkandi, Talib Azarakhsh, Dr. Soraya Hassan Soltan and Bahmanyar were also broadcasted at different intervals during the program.
