The Tajik website 'avesta.tj' has published a comprehensive article on Azerbaijani carpets.
According to ECI public relations quoting mct.gov.az, the article titled 'Azerbaijani carpet, the national achievement of Azerbaijani people' underlines that the art of carpet weaving holds a special place in the life and history of the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The article also deliberates upon the art of carpet weaving in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum with a treasury of more than 14,000 types of carpets and rugs, the carpet weaving schools of Guba, Baku, Shirvan, Ganja, etc. as well as information on the similarities and differences of these carpets and their characteristics.
It is worth mentioning that the art of carpet weaving of the Republic of Azerbaijan was registered in the UNESCO list of intangible heritage in 2010.
According to this article, in order to preserve and promote the art of carpet weaving in the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the instruction of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the carpet museum of the country has been given 'national' status since July 15, 2019.
