A young Uzbek director intends to make a movie on female crane operator.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting uz.sputniknews.ru, Anvar Muhammad Rahimov is a young director who went to the United States 18 years ago and graduated in directing from the New York Film Academy. At the Holy short film festival, his film won in the category "Young directors", the jury recognized his film as the best among 4,000 entries. He has also worked with different filmmaking companies but has now decided to make a film on the life of Nargiz Arslonova, a girl who works as a tower crane operator at the Tashkent City construction site.
According to Muhammad Rahimov, this woman is a clear example of a hero of our time and her life is worthy of screening in cinemas. Tashkent Municipality will support the making of this film.
Anvar Muhammad Rahimov is set to use all his experiences to contribute to the development of his country's cinema, and the current CEO of Uzbek Kino film company is seeking to cooperate with the director.
