Tashkent University Hosts a Pedagogical Webinar on Persian Language
Tashkent state university has hosted a pedagogical webinar on "Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages" co-organized together with Allameh Tabatabai University and Sa'adi Foundation, emphasizing the continuation of Iran- Uzbekistan scientific and academic cooperation.

According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting the public relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the webinar started with a speech by Ms. Gulchehre Ruskiova, Head of the University of Oriental Studies. At her remarks she said: "We are grateful for the cooperation of Iran's Cultural Attaché to Tashkent and Allameh Tabatabai University of Iran, that have held several training courses for professors and students of Oriental Studies as the pandemic context has prevented many world events to convene and forced the academic communities to build different types of connections, and such collaborations will lead to optimize Persian language teaching."

Speaking to the webinar, Mohsen Pourmohseni, Iran's Cultural Attaché to Tashkent expressed satisfaction with the growing cooperation between the scientific and educational centers and institutes of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the universities of Uzbekistan.

To continue the cooperation between the University of Oriental Studies and Allameh Tabatabai University, he suggested holding an online meeting among the heads of the two universities and Sa'adi Foundation in the near future and said: " by the end of September, pedagogical courses focusing on the educational themes of interest for the scholars of Persian Language and Iranology of Uzbekistan universities are to be held in accordance with the pandemic context."

He added: "If the online learning goes on in Uzbek universities due to outbreak of coronavirus, the administrative of the department of Persian Language and Literature in the University of Oriental Studies will plan six-month educational programs to meet the academic progress requirements."

At the webinar, some 8 scholars of Persian language and Iranology at the University of Oriental Studies presented their articles on the webinar theme.
