Tajikistan & Japan Sign MoU
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Takayuki Miyashita.

According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting mfa.tj, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan in various fields and also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest. They also discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan expressed his gratitude for the assistance of Japan in the field of infrastructure, health, sanitation, public welfare, training and skills development within the framework of the Office Development Assistance (ODA).
It was noted that education and development of human resources are one of the priority directions of the Development strategy of Tajikistan. Specialist from Tajikistan participate in various training courses in Japan. Positive contribution is brought by the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) through capacity building of young specialists in international relations, law, economic and management areas. The activities of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) were highlighted, which are making significant contribution to the economy and social spheres in Tajikistan.
Following the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for the Exchange of Notes on mutual understanding between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of Japan on the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship Project. Exchange Notes have been signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Mr. Takayuki Miyashita.
