Abai Cultural Center Opens in Golestan Province of Iran
Aiming to promote the cultural commonalities of Iran and Kazakhstan, Abai Cultural Center was opened in Golestan Province of Iran.

According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting IRIB news agency in Golestan, with the participation of Kazakh ambassador to Iran, the Abai Cultural Center was opened in Kazakh consulate located in Gorgan.
The center has been established to recognize and promote cultural commonalities of Iran and Kazakhstan and is supposed to display books of Farabi, the great Iranian scientist, and Abai Kunanbayoqli, one of the renowned scholars of Kazakhstan.
At the opening, Kazakhstan ambassador said: "Abai's legacy is a valuable treasure which has paved the way for the prosperity and unity of our nation and his teachings compose the foundations for strengthening the culture and civilization of Kazakhstan."
The event concluded with offering the highest friendship award of Kazakhstan to the Iranian translator and researcher from Golestan province, Haji Mohammad Shadkam, who has written and translated more than 10 books on Kazakhstan.
