The heartbreaking news of the demise of Bahmanyar, the outstanding author of Tajikistan, deeply saddened the literature enthusiasts all across the world.
An author left us whose novels were matchless among his comrades, his choice of words was unique to himself and the literature of Tajikistan was proud of his existence. He was pursuing the path of great literary figures and prominent scholars such as Allama Aini, Ulugzoda and others. Bahmanyar left masterpieces such as 'Hunter's Lov'e, 'Sarmaddeh', and 'The King' for Tajikistan literature.
ECO Cultural Institute was proud to launch his novel 'Sarmaddeh' published by Kheradgan Publications during the summer of 2020 and the author himself was the guest of this virtual program.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to all the cultural personalities of the ECO region on the demise of this well-known literary figure. I pray that the deceased may rest in peace and his family and acquaintances may be blessed with patience.
