A Review of Kamal Khujandi’s Thoughts and Works
In a continuation of a series of meetings held to pay tribute to the luminaries of the ECO region, the ECO Cultural Institute will hold an international webinar in honor of Kamal Khujandi on Sunday, December 27, at 4:00 PM Tehran time, UTC/GMT +3:30 hours.

According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the event will take place virtually in partnership with the embassies of Tajikistan and Afghanistan in Tehran, the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Society for the Appreciation of Cultural Works and Dignitaries, Iran-Tajikistan Friendship Association, the governors of Sugd province, Tajikistan and East Azarbaijan province, Iran, Shahid Beheshti University, University of Tabriz and the Iran Book and Literature House.
At the inaugural session of this virtual meeting, which is held to commemorate the 700th birth anniversary of Kamal Khojandi, the Ghazal poet of the ECO region, Sarvar Bakhti, President, ECO Cultural Institute, Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Iran; Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Iran, Gholam-Ali Haddad- Adel, President of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, Governor of Sugd province, and Mohammad Reza Pourmohammadi, Governor of East Azarbaijan province will deliver statements.
According to the same report, Dr. Hassan Bolkhari, President of the Society for the Appreciation of Cultural Works and Dignitaries, Dr. Ahmad Khatami, Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Shahid Beheshti University, Dr. Bagher Sadrinia, a professor at University of Tabriz, Dr. Badriddin Maghsudzoda, a professor at the National University of Tajikistan, Dr. Mohammad Kazem Mohammadi Bagh Molla'i, writer and researcher, and Dr. Sarverasa Rafizadeh, a professor at ‎RANA University, are among the other speakers at this international webinar to review the life and works of Kamal Khujandi and influence of his thoughts in the ECO region.

It is noteworthy that on the same occasion, the ECO Cultural Institute has translated and published the books "Life and Works of Kamal Khujandi", written by Dr. Badriddin Maghsudzoda and "Forty Lessons from Kamal", by Suraya Hassan Sultan. Also, a memorial album of the music tracks by Tajik singers containing poems of Kamal Khujandi was released in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tehran. Furthermore, an online exhibition of calligraphy and painting entitled "Nightingale of Khujand" was organized in collaboration with the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. .
