The Tashkent-Sharm el-Sheikh flight was the first direct flight from Egypt.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Tashkent, Egypt Air Cairo has launched its first Tashkent-Sharm el-Sheikh flight.
An Airbus A320 landed at Tashkent International Airport. This aircraft has traditionally been welcomed with water salutes.
Direct flights between the two cities are carried out once a week by Egypt Air Cairo.
According to Hussein Sharif, a representative of Air Cairo in Uzbekistan, the number of flights will reach to four flights a week in the future. The direct flight between Cairo and Tashkent will be launched in April 2021.
Egypt is one of the developed countries in terms of tourism infrastructure. The airline's interest in Uzbekistan allows Uzbek citizens to travel to African and European countries via Egypt.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt were established on January 23, 1992.
