The Minister of Information and Culture of Afghanistan said that there were many areas of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Afghanistan and Kabul was interested in expanding the cooperation.
In an interview with Iran Press News Agency in Herat, Muhammad Tahir Zuhair said: "Kabul seeks to increase ties with Iran in the field of culture and in the near future a large-scale memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the two countries in the field of culture.
He further added that the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan has recently prepared the ground for holding a large book exhibition in cooperation with Iranian and Afghan publishers at Kabul University.
The Minister of Information and Culture of Afghanistan noted: "the exhibition which is planned to be held annually is a very good beginning for cultural cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan."
