A meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia was held and the chairmanship of the organization was transferred to Kazakhstan.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Dushanbe, the meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry stated that the main purpose of the meeting was to transfer the chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction in Asia from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan. The main goal of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia is establishing an effective and acceptable structure for peace and safety in Asia.
There are currently 27 different countries participating in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia. Eight countries and five international organizations will observe the conference.
The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia is located in Nursultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.
