The statue of the Kazakh poet “Abai” was placed in the National Book and Documentary Heritage Museum on a meeting between the head of the National Library and the Kazakh Ambassador.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Mehr News Agency, during a meeting with Kazakh Ambassador Askhat Orazbay in Tehran, Ashraf Boroujerdi, the director of Iran National Library and Archives, said: “Establishing cultural relations with neighboring countries, including Kazakhstan, is effective in understanding the thoughts and ideas of poets.” Because Iran also has many poets whose poems have evolved culture throughout history. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Tehran, Askhat Orazbay, also expressed his satisfaction with the installation of the Kazakh poet’s statue and thinker “Abai” in the National Library of Iran, a poet who encouraged his nation to seek knowledge.
Referring to linguistic words and cultural commonalities between the two nations of Iran and Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Ambassador said: “The Kazakh embassy in Tehran is trying to provide various Kazakh books in Persian, English and Arabic for the country’s desk in the National Library.” Especially the books of the Kazakh poet and thinker “Abai”, so that students and researchers can use the books of this Kazakh thinker and intellectual to get to know him better.
