Last year the 700th birth anniversary of Kamal Khujandi, Tajik famous poet and mystic, was celebrated in Tajikistan and some other countries with utmost enthusiasm. On this occasion, the ECO Cultural Institute, published the books “Life and Works of Kamal Khujandi”, “Forty Lessons from Kamal” and an album of songs on Kamal’s poems in Iran, where Kamal’s tomb is located.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Recently the book “Varagh-e Hosn”, written by Dr. Badriddin Maghsoudzoda, has been published in collaboration with this institute and Shahriaran publications.
Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, called this valuable book a “new chapter in recognition of Kamal” and considered its publication important for foreign Persian speakers.
Ali Asghar She’rdoost, head of Shahriaran publication, in this book has also emphasized on teaching more about Kamal’s works and thoughts.
“Varagh-e Hosn” contains interesting articles, including “Ayni’s view of Kamal Khujandi and his poems”, “The role of Maestro Sharif-Jan Hussainzoda in recognition of Kamal”, “Kamal Khujandi’s scientific biography”, “Kamal’s new poems”, “Sonnet and its evolution up to Kamal’s era”, “Kamal’s Mysticism”, etc., which express the thoughts of Maghsoudzoda about different aspects of life and works of the famous lyricist.
The book was translated by Shahmansour Shahmirza, a Tajik expert at the ECO Cultural Institute and was literally edited by Dr. Mohammad Kazem Mohammadi Baghmollai.
