Poetry Collection by Tajik Poet Released in Tehran
Boqi Rahimzoda’s book of poems entitled “Baqo-e Mehr” was published by Arvan Publications in Tehran.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the book is enriched with the introduction of Sarvar Bakhti, president of ECO Cultural Institute and is transliterated by Farkhondeh Shahmansour, a young Tajik literary scholar published in 200 pages in Persian script.
Acquainting readers with the life and work of the Tajik folk poet, Sarvar Bakhti has written in the foreword: “one of such gifted writers is undoubtedly Maestro Boqi Rahimzoda, a talented poet, supporter and educator of hundreds of young writers who founded several cultural complexes through his direct efforts in Tajikistan. Boqi Rahimzoda was a constant companion of Mirzo Tursunzoda, popular poet and hero of Tajikistan, and one of the most prominent figures in Tajik literature. The friendship between the two writers is special and in this regard, many memories remain in the minds of people, especially cultural figures.”
Referring to the poet’s literary works he further writes: “He spared no effort in educating the writers and always provided the necessary ground for their progress.”
‘Baqo-e Mehr’ is a valuable gift for the lovers of Tajik literature and is the first book by Boqi Rahimzoda which is published in Persian script in Iran.
