First Iranian national seminar on health and sustainable development was held in Tehran, November 19, 2008 by Martyr Beheshti Medical Sciences University.
According to a report released by the Public Relations Department of the University Jihad, the event was organized to promote public awareness and portray the sensitivity of decision-makers towards the issue.
ECI also actively contributed to this meeting and set up a display stand of its cultural products on the sidelines.
The topics discussed at the gathering included role of health in sustainable development, health indices in sustainable development, impacts of politics on health and sustainable development, impacts of technology on health, and globalization and health.
The event also dealt with social features of health, spirituality and health, urban management and health as well as public culture and health.
