ECO TIMES about Turkmenistan and its new investment policy

The special issue of ECO TIMES Journal published by the ECO Cultural Institute that is affiliated with ECO and aims at fostering understanding and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of its members through common projects in the field of the media, literature, art, philosophy, sport and education. in the framework of the large regional organisation – the Economic Cooperation Organisation dedicated to various aspects of the life in Turkmenistan and the important investment projects initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the fuel and energy sector, tourism industry and other sectors of Turkmen economy.

The particles focus on the open door policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the favourable investment climate created for foreign companies. The leading articles provide the illustrative examples of mutually advantageous and large-scale cooperation include successful implementation of the projects on development of the first national tourism zone – Avaza being created on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea. The article says that the ceremony of putting the first facilities of tourism infrastructure into operation this July and the presentations of the new projects vividly showed profound interest of the leading foreign companies in collaborating in implementation of the grandiose plans to turn Avaza in one of the international centres of tourism and recreation.

The issue contains the thorough comments on Turkmenistan’s new energy policy aimed at diversifying cooperation on transit of energy.
