The Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) invites all the researchers, inventors and innovators from all over the world to participate in the Khwarizmi International Award (KIA).

The KlA is held annually in memory of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, the Iranian Muslim mathematician and astronomer.

The purpose of this prestigious award is to recognize and honor outstanding scientific achievements and excellent research contributions by scientists in the fields of Engineering including Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering, Materials Sciences, Information Technology, Aerospace, Medical Sciences, Basic Sciences, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology.

The KIA promotes scientific cooperation between countries and increases public awareness of scientific endeavors. The research works should fall into one of the following categories:

Invention, Innovation, Applied Research, Fundamental Research and Development Research
