In official notes to the embassies of the Republic of Türkiye and the Syrian Arab Republic in Tehran, Murodjon Buriboev, the President of the ECO Cultural Institute, expressed his condolences on the death of the citizens of these countries due to the devastating earthquakes.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the President of the ECI in his message to the embassies of the Republic of Türkiye and the Syrian Arab Republic in Tehran wrote: "I herewith extend my heartfelt sympathy to you and to the people of the Republic of Türkiye especially the bereaved families of the victims who have suffered the loss of their beloved ones in the massive earthquake. May their soul rest in peace and Allah give their family patience."
Death toll from the earthquakes centered in southeastern Türkiye rose to 3,419, bringing the total number of killed, including those in northern Syria, to more than 5,000 while another 20,534 had been injured.
