Murodjon Buriboev, the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) President, met with Ali Ghasemzadeh, the Mayor of Isfahan, at Isfahan Municipality on Monday, February 13, 2023.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, the meeting was held in Isfahan with the presence of the Deputy Mayors of Isfahan and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the ECI President elaborated on the activities of the ECO Cultural Institute in various fields and made suggestions for future cooperation, such as holding one of the meetings of the Council of Permanent Representatives of ECO Cultural Institute in the city of Isfahan, offering sightseeing tours in Isfahan for diplomats, dedicating a special section to ECO member states in the International Film Festival for Children and Youth which is going to be held in Isfahan and holding Isfahan Cultural Week at the ECO Cultural Institute.
The Mayor of Isfahan also referred to the common cultural capacities and joint cooperation with the ECO Cultural Institute and stated: “Iran and the ECO member countries have many cultural commonalities. Isfahan Municipality is ready to help ECO Cultural Institute in any field.”
He added: “It is definitely possible to establish more interactions and communications between Isfahan and the ECO member states in cultural fields. In this regard, Isfahan is also ready to host the meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of ECO Cultural Institute.”
