On Sunday, January 5, 2020, Mr. Sarvar Bakhti, the ECI president, met and talked with Dr. Esmail Azar, a university professor and the renowned culture and literature figure of Iran.
According to ECI public relations, at the meeting, Sarvar Bakhti, the ECI president, stated: "We intend to organize cultural programs focusing on the region's cultural commonalities and among them, poetry is one of the most profound and sweetest shared points existing among the nations of the ECO region". He further noted: "We intend to encourage more cultural figures to visit the Institute and here would be the venue for future gatherings of artists and cultural personalities."
Continuing his remarks, Sarvar Bakhti emphasized that the development of cooperation and consultation with the luminaries and intellectuals of ECO region is on his agenda and in the same lines, he would support organizing arts and cultural programs.
Further at the meeting, Dr. Esmail Azar congratulated the ECI president on his appointment and proposed holding few poetry programs among the poets of the ECO countries.
The meeting concluded with Sarvar Bakhti highlighting that ECI will well utilize the capabilities of the ECO region's artists and cultural figures for safeguarding the common cultural heritage and organizing joint programs.
