The National History Museum of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan is holding programs online.
According to ECI public relations quoting Day.az, since the beginning of 2020, the museum has planned for organizing programs to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Due to corona virus pandemic, the museum staff are carrying out their duties online and the respective news briefings and media about the museum activities and its treasures are being broadcasted in social media and published in specialized journals.
Plans are being made so that the Republic of Azerbaijan could mount an exhibition on Silk Road and its revival as well as an ammunition exhibition in 2020.
It is worth mentioning that the National History Museum of Azerbaijan is a research institute that has been established to study the historical and spiritual background of the country. The Museum commenced activities in 1920 in the former mansion of Azerbaijani oil magnate and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev and is one of the country's oldest museums.
