The ambassador of Russia praised Turkey's efforts to ensure tourists' safety and health.
According to ECI public relations quoting TRT Persian website, Alexei Yerkhov, Russia's ambassador to Ankara, said he was impressed by Turkey's efforts to maintain the flow of foreign tourists to the country and take measures to ensure their health and safety.
He stressed that Turkey has set up a very good system for issuing 'safe tourism certificate' and is carrying out many activities to ensure the safety and health of both local and foreign tourists at its airports, hotels and tourist attractions. "I think other countries must know about such system as well", Yerkhov noted.
It is worth mentioning that the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has recently organized a program called "Discover Anew" in Antalya province, where ambassadors and members of diplomatic mission of foreign countries in Turkey were briefed about the country's tourism services despite the fight against corona virus. Present at the event were 50 ambassadors, diplomats and a large number of foreign journalists.
Turkey is the first country in Europe to apply "safe tourism certificate" system.
