Dombra National Day was observed in Switzerland.
According to ECI public relations quoting 24.kg, at the event, a group of Kazakh musicians from Austria, Germany and Italy chanted "The soul of the Kazakhs lies in the melody of Dombra" while making a group performance, celebrating the National Day of the Dombra in Lucern city of Switzerland while Kazakh musicians performed national Kazakh music and songs.
In his opening remarks, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland Alibek Bakayev noted that "culture is the most reliable bridge between peoples, which makes them closer and more understandable to each other. And, as you know, the soul of the Kazakhs is precisely in the sounds of Dombra, while the soul of the Swiss breathes the beauties of the Alps. Today we have witnessed this unusual cultural synergy."
The ambassador went on saying that Dombra is an ancient Kazakh instrument and we have organized this event to take measures for promoting the instrument globally.
The program was warmly welcomed by the audience.
