Transparency International Afghanistan has released a report on compliance with 'Access to Information' Act, ranking the government agencies in this respect among which with the Ministry of Agriculture tops the list.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting Afghanistan Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, last year the Ministry of Agriculture also received the highest score by the "Information Access Commission" and was awarded the title of 'leading and model administration at governmental level'. The Independent Commission for Administrative Reform and Civil Service and the National Procurement Office ranked second and third, respectively.
Access to Information Act requires government agencies to make any information required by the public and customers available to them in the shortest possible time.
