On the occasion of Pakistan`s Independence Day on 14th August, Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, sent a message to Pakistan embassy congratulating the country on Independence Day.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Sarvar Bakhti, in a part of his message to Pakistan`s ambassador on the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day, said: "I extend my heartiest felicitations to you and the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan`s Independence Day."
President of the ECO Cultural Institute also added: "I am confident that our good relations and the existing potential to continue bilateral cooperation will be the key to further promoting commonalities in the ECO region."
On August 14, 1947, the people of a country now called Pakistan, led by Mohammed Ali Jinnah, also called Qaid-i-Azam (Great Leader), were released from colonial rule and formed a country called Pakistan. Usual celebratory events and festivities for the day include flag-hoisting ceremony, parades, cultural events, and the playing of patriotic songs.
