On the commemoration day of Hakim Abulqasem Ferdowsi, 13 May 2023, the national symbol of "Persian Candy" was unveiled at the Rudaki Hall.
According to the ECOCI Public Relations, the national symbol of "Persian Candy" and the announcement of the two main axes of this national symbol, "Good Persian Speakers" and "Mother's Tongue", was unveiled in the presence of Mr. Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mr. Gholam Ali Haddade Adel, Director of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature and Ferdowsi Foundation, Mr. Murodjon Buriboev, President of ECO Cultural Institute, Mr. Farshad Mehdipour, Vice President of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, noting the efforts of the Ministry of Culture to preserve the Persian language and also to protect and respect its language and script, which is also one of the cultural priorities of the 13th government of Iran.
During his speech, recalling the efforts made in the direction of spreading the Persian language, Mr. Esmaili mentioned the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Persian Language and Literature and the Saadi Foundation in establishing Persian educational programs in different countries.
It is noteworthy to mention that this symbol was awarded to ambassadors and cultural counselors of Tajikistan, Turkiye, Armenia, Guinea, India and Palestine.
