This competition, held with the support of the International Union of Architects, is among the world's architectural competitions with the highest rating. The geography of the projects included in the competition covers more and more countries on all continents of the world. This year, More than 200 projects were submitted by architects from 29 countries of the world to the Sixth Baku International Architecture Competition.
In general, during 2013-2021, architects from 53 countries of the world participated in the competition with more than 1000 projects. In the 5 competitions held so far, Portugal, France, USA, Slovenia, Georgia, Japan, Russia, Morocco, Croatia, Italy, Bangladesh, Spain, Ukraine, Germany, Vietnam, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, Malaysia, South Africa, Egypt, China, Iran, architects from Kenya, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Romania, Poland, India and Azerbaijan won.
