Tashkent is hosting the second international symposium on stone sculptures entitled "Man and Nature, Climate Change" organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental Protection and the Union of Artists of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Among the foreign participants are sculptors from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Iran, India, Britain, Argentina, Russia, Georgia and Belarus.
The aim of this symposium is to create historical sculptural works that will be installed in parks, recreational places and eco-tourism places of the city. Sculpture works are created for the development of ecological culture and people's accurate attitude towards environmental objects and historical and cultural heritage buildings, and they also serve the city and its architecture.
According to the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the symposium, classes will be held where both beginners and professional sculptors, as well as spectators, can see the amazing process of creating a stone sculpture.
