According to Khovar news agency, this conference was held in memory of Dr. AbdulGhani Mirzayev, a late scholar and bibliographist at the The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Rahmat Karim Davlatov, the head of the center of written heritage in the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, pointed out the importance of the Abdul Ghani Mirzayev and said: he was one of the first and most famous researchers in the fields of literature and linguistics and the history of Tajik Persian literature, and he has played a significant role in its enduring values and the consolidation of literary and cultural relations among the ethnic groups and nations of the region.
Abdul Ghani Mirzayev (1908-1976) has authored and edited more than 300 works. He made valuable contributions to the development of literary studies in Tajikistan.He has also left great works in writing textbooks for schools.
