The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, ordered to publish the immortal poem “Shahnameh” by Abul-Qâsem Ferdowsi and give it to every resident of the country in order to enlighten as many people as possible about the history, culture and civilization of their ancestors.
Speaking at the International Symposium “Bobojon Ghafurov" - the largest researcher and promoter of the history of the Tajik people”, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the scientist, Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the goal of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is to use this glorious history and this precious heritage as much and wisely as possible in the name of unity, cohesion, the pride of our people, the prosperity of the Motherland of our ancestors and strengthening the foundations of our new national statehood.
Imam Ali Rahman recalled that on the initiative of Bobojon Ghafurov, the Shahnameh was published in Moscow in 1971 in two volumes in Russian and nine volumes in Persian.
