Iran, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan honored the memory of Hakim Nizami
Tehran, IRNA– The Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan organized an event on Saturday to commemorate Nizami Ganjavi, a renowned poet and storyteller of the 12th century.
Tehran, IRNA– The Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan organized an event on Saturday to commemorate Nizami Ganjavi, a renowned poet and storyteller of the 12th century. Other parts of this ceremony were the recitation of Nizami’s story "Khosro and Shirin", reading of essays and poems by this great poet by the students of Azadi State University.
It should be mentioned that the third commemoration of Hakim Nizami was held in Tehran's Vahdat Hall with the presence of people of culture and art from the countries of the region. In this event, the ambassador of Tajikistan in Tehran,  called the great poet and storyteller of the 12th century the connecting link between the countries and nations of the region.
In Pakistan, Lahore, the musical theater performance of Laili and Majnoon, directed by Sheikh Saad, was staged. Referring to his studies on Eastern mysticism, Sheikh Saad said about the creation of the idea of Laila and Majnoon in the form of theater "I wanted to portray those ideologies in a story, and while I was wandering in a library in Paris, I came across Nizami's poem in Laila Majnoon, and I loved all the adaptations. I was happy when I reached them, whether from Tehran, Punjab or Kashmir. I decided to continue this production."
