Ahmad Danesh
Ahmad Danesh is a famous Tajik writer who was born in Bukhara in 1827. His father was originally from Shaferkam city and came to study at the Islamic school in Bukhara and stayed there.
Ahmad Danesh received his primary education at his mother's private school and entered the school around 1842-1843. He had a great passion for poetry, drawing, painting and calligraphy from a young age. In 1855, he entered the court of Amir Nasrullah, the Emir of Bukhara, and was appointed as an architect and court engineer. In 1857, Ahmad Danesh went to St. Petersburg as part of the Bukhara Khanate embassy. In 1869, Danesh traveled to St. Petersburg for the second time. During this trip, he learned deeply about the progress and developments of Russia. Danesh's wish was that Bukhara would also become a developed country.
At the end of his life, he moved away from the court and wrote the book Nawadar al-Waqee between 1875 and 1882, in which he wrote about his trip to St. Petersburg. Ahmad Danesh died in Bukhara in 1897.
Among Danesh's works, we can mention the books Manazir al-Kavakeb, Risala fi a'amal al-Ghora, Ta'bal al-Khamsa Muteheireh, and Nawadar al-Waqee.
Ahmad Danesh has described in detail the changes and developments in the ministries and the Consultative Assembly, the limitation of the rights of the Amir based on the law, and the relationship of the state officials with the people in his works. He expressed his observations about a just and justice-loving king and suggested its conditions.
Ahmad Danesh wrote "Nawadar al-Waqee" over a period of 15 years. This work is considered his most valuable work.
