Four Tuesday, leading to the main holidays, each show different elements, the first of which is the first Tuesday. This day is accompanied by clearing and renovation, where Azerbaijanis have traditionally engaged in activities such as home cleaning, sophistication (sprouting) and jumping from the water to symbolically relieve the problems and sins.
Nowruz is celebrated by millions of people around the world, including Azerbaijan, Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries. In 2009, Nowruz was listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. The UN General Assembly announced March 21 in World Nowruz Day.
