According ECI database, this literary event was inaugurated by the speech presented by Dr. Saad S. Khan.
During this event Dr. Saad S.Khan by mentioning that today the poets have significant words regarding human issues which should be heard by the people of the world through their translation, emphasized that poem is the language of culture and art that can introduce the noble image of the civilized history of the ECO countries to the world. The capacity of poetry to affect various issues of human life is based on its original flow, and this important issue should be strengthened.
During this ceremony, all the dignitaries including Dr. Alireza Ghazveh, Head of Office of Poetry and Music of the Radio and TV Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Ali Bayat, Assistant Professor of Tehran University, Dr. Ali Kavossi Nejad, Assistant Professor of Tehran University, Dr. Mohammad Kyomarsi, Assistant Professor of Tehran University, Mr. Ahamad Shahryar, Poet, Translator, Director for Shahryar Publication and Dr. Zahra Aslani, Secretary of the meeting talked about the importance of translation of the works of the cultural dignitaries of the ECO member countries for: strengthening friendship, introducing cultural and civilized heritage of ECO countries at the international arena, showing the impact of poetry for making further interaction among people of the region, and finally presenting the background of translation of contemporary Persian poetry into Urdu language. In this ceremony the poems of Dr. Alireza Ghazveh was recited.
At the end of this ceremony, there was unveiling ceremony of the Book: “Flowing Eyes in Euphrates” and participants visited the ECI booth in the 35th International Tehran Book Fair.
The collection of poems of Dr. Alireza Qazwah, which was translated into Urdu by Ahamad Shahryar, Pakistani poet and translator, has recently been published by Shahryar Publication of Pakistan.
