Dr, Saad S.Khan, President of the ECI visited the Yemen booth at the 35th International Book Fair on Friday, May 10, 2024.
According to the ECI data base, Dr, Khan met and discussed with Mr. Mohammad Haidar, Deputy Minister of Culture of Yemen. During this visit, Dr. Khan highlighted Yemen’s cultural essence and stated that: “Yemen Is a land of civilizations with a rich historical and cultural heritage”. He added that: “the ECI is committed to developing cultural relations and strengthening book diplomacy in the ECO region, and that they can use ECO capacity to show Yemeni cultural works and books to interested audiences. The Deputy Minister of Culture of Yemen expressed gratitude to Dr, Khan and regarded his visit to the Yemen booth as an effort in deepening cultural and civilizational relations and expressed hope for the promotion of exchanges of writers and intellectuals and book in near future.
It is noteworthy that Yemen is the special guest of the 35th Tehran International Book Fair.
