The "Tajikistan National Library" is hosting an international music festival on Dushanbe entitled "Perspectives on The Development of Traditional Music of The Middle East and Near East Peoples in The Conditions of Globalization", which was held with the participation of art and art research delegations from Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran.
On the first day of this event, the speakers emphasized that holding the symposium will strengthen people's cultural communication and help develop creative cooperation.
Meanwhile, in this event, the musical status of "Shesh-Magham" was beautifully presented by Tajik artists. The heritage of Tajik traditional music "Shesh-Magham" as a musical work with a complex form, has been formed and developed over the centuries.
On the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, this historical masterpiece was registered in the UNESCO list on November 7, 2003, and the cultural department of the United Nations, UNESCO declared this masterpiece as a world musical masterpiece and as a spiritual monument of humanity.
It is expected that the opening ceremony of this festival will be held today with the performance of a concert program by Tajik artists in the state academic opera and ballet theater named Eini.
During this festival, specialized and educational programs in the field of music have been planned to honor Mirzo Tursunzoda.
